SIDE BY SIDE WEEKEND 

Born and raised in Ottawa, Anthony has been playing in bands since his teen years and has been volunteering & working for local music festivals of all sizes for about as long. He's a community radio contributor & show-host at CHUO 89.1FM, and has worked for small local businesses for the past decade. As the booker/event coordinator at Black Squirrel Books, he has also worked with House of Targ on a series of one-off Big Side-by-Side Gigs, which have essentially been the prototype for his biggest undertaking yet: SIDE BY SIDE WEEKEND!

SIDE BY SIDE WEEKEND is Ottawa's newest independent music festival!
Born of a partnership between neighbouring venues House of Targ &amp; Black Squirrel Books, the inaugural year of the festival is running July 25-28th 2019 and features over 30 independent acts from Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes!
The festival is based on a mutually beneficial community-building model of concurrent shows where staggered set-times and combined cover allow audiences to flow between the venues to experience different spaces, musical genres and participate in different pockets of the local &amp; Canadian music scenes.
