It feels important to describe and recognize creativity as more than an art-related process, but also a way that we can live, imagine, understand, and create change in our lives.

This is a 2-hour (in-person) workshop - with a focus on slow art-making.

WHAT TO EXPECT:This is a 2-hour workshop, focused on SLOW art-making... together, in community.__________________________We'll be exploring slow-stitch (intuitive embroidery) with leaves ...I will have LOTS of leaves for us to work with in the studio, but you can also bring your own that you've gathered before our session together if you like! We'll practice noticing ...sound, texture, and how we FEEL while we're engaging with these bits of nature. We'll practice understanding SLOW as a space that we can give ourselves to pause, express, process, integrate, regenerate.NO experience with art or art-making is required to attend.__________________________SLOW STITCH, SLOWING DOWNSun Sep 283-5pm$50 plus GST__________________________<h3>LOCATION:</h3><a href="https://g.co/kgs/n4EW5kJ" title="https://g.co/kgs/n4EW5kJ" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">108 - 561 Johnson Street, Victoria BC</a>(The studio is in the Paper Box Arcade, a blue &amp; green building across the street from the main entrance to Market Square - it's a string-light lined corridor, the last door on the left, white sheer curtains in the windows, currently no signage).__________________________<h3>A FEW NOTES:</h3><h3> </h3><ul><li>This is an in-person series (address details above).</li><li>The group will be small (5 people max).</li><li>Registration is open to adults only (18+).</li><li>All art materials are provided.</li><li>Tea is provided!</li><li>Please arrive on time! (or about 5 minutes early, even better!)</li><li>Accessibility: The studio itself is fully accessible, but the onsite washroom is unfortunately NOT (it's located in the loft area, with several stairs in-between).</li><li>Health Guidelines: There is an air purifier in the studio, and the door can be propped open for extra ventilation. I won't be requiring masks, but absolutely support your choice to wear one. Please DO NOT attend if you are feeling sick (with anything) or think there is a chance you have been exposed to anything contagious. If you are sick you will receive a full refund. Please do NOT attend if you are ill.</li></ul>__________________________

Beyond that, you will be responsible for the registration cost ...though you are absolutely welcome to give your space to a friend! And while I am here for any technical assistance you may need, our goal is not to focus on technical skill…but instead on curiosity.</li></ul>
