Nearly 15 per cent of Canada's electricity is generated by nuclear technology. Small modular reactor technologies could be the future of this industry.
Canada’s Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Action Plan was recently released by the Government of Canada in partnership with universities, provinces and territories, utilities and the community. The Government of Alberta and Alberta Innovates are signatories to this action plan. Alberta’s chapter can be found on the action plan website.
Alberta Innovates is presenting the Small Modular Reactor Learning Series as an opportunity to learn about new nuclear technology, the national action plan, safety and regulations, innovation in Canada’s nuclear industry and to better understand the latest technology supply chain.
This four-part virtual webinar series is open to anyone who wants to learn about these topics. Please forward this email to other people who may be interested.
This event will take place over four consecutive Tuesdays. You may register for any number of sessions after clicking on Select a Date.
