An experimental space to explore the intelligence of your body
Most of us are used to living in our heads.
Thinking, analyzing, trying to figure things out.
But the body is always happening in real time, giving us direct cues about our experience that are often overridden by thinking.
Somatic Lab is a beginner-friendly space where you can step out of your mind and into your body... without needing to “go deep” or have any prior experience.
This is not therapy.
It’s an experiment.
A place to explore how your body communicates through sensation, and what becomes available when you slow down and start to listen.
Theme: From Thought to Sensation: What what the body reveals
We’ll work with simple, guided practices to:
- Explore sensation as the body’s primary language
- Interrupt cognitive loops and habitual patterns to connect with real-time experience
- Build capacity to stay with what you feel (at your own pace)
What you’ll experience
- Guided somatic exercises (movement, breath, stillness, sound)
- Opportunities for reflection and optional sharing
- A supportive, contained space to explore without pressure
- A chance to connect with yourself in a more direct way
What you’ll leave with
- A clearer sense of what’s happening in your body
- More space between stimulus and reaction
- A felt experience of being more connected to yourself
- Tools to begin listening to your body outside the session
Who this is for
- You’re curious about somatic work but don’t know where to start
- You tend to overthink or feel stuck in your head
- You want more connection to your creativity and sense of aliveness
- You want a different way to relate to your emotions and experience
- You’re open to trying something new in a grounded, supported space
Who this is not for
This space is designed as a light-to-moderate exploratory experience.
It may not be the right fit if you’re currently needing intensive therapeutic support or deep trauma processing.
(If this is you, please connect with us to learn more about our one-on-one and group therapy work).
Why it’s called a Lab
Each session is an experiment. An open, structured space for exploration. This isn’t about figuring yourself out. It’s about experiencing yourself more directly.
We explore different themes and practices, learning in real time what the body has to teach us. There’s no pressure to get it “right” just curiosity and participation.
