Source Resolution — Régis Souto & Patrick Stevens
Paintings of the many selves in one body; digital images pushed past their source. Free, daily 10 am – 7 pm, Nov 10–15, Queen West.
Source Resolution brings together painter Régis Souto and digital artist Patrick Stevens. In digital imaging, source resolution is the pixel count of the original file: the image before anything is stretched or converted. Push it past that and it breaks into its parts.
How many of you live in one body? Régis Souto's paintings give the many selves you carry a single figure: arms multiplying around one torso, light gathered at the body's energy centres.
Patrick Stevens pushes images past their source until they break into colour and make you question what you see. For this show, he draws on his first year in Toronto.
Free admission, daily 10 am – 7 pm, November 10–15, 2026, at The Show Gallery, 978 Queen St W, Toronto. One of the artists is always in the gallery: Patrick Stevens 10 am – 4 pm, Régis Souto 4 – 7 pm. The gallery is not wheelchair accessible.
Opening reception: Friday, November 13, 6 – 9 pm. Artist talk around 7:30 pm; food and non-alcoholic drinks. Free, with its own RSVP.
All works are available for acquisition. Ask for the price list at the gallery, or request it at regissoutoarts.com/source-resolution.
