Learn the art of public speaking in a supportive community setting with BIST and CHIRS!

Join BIST as we improve public speaking and leadership skills, share our stories and build community at our Speakers' Corner program – lead by CHIRS (Community Head Injury Resource Services)- Speakers’ Corner. <ul><li>Speakers Corner is a free weekly program that focuses on helping people develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.</li><li>Individuals progress at their own pace and there is never any pressure to sign up for meeting roles or present speeches until the person is comfortable.</li><li>Speakers Corner is a structured and collaborative program that focuses on creating a positive and non-judgmental environment for its members.</li><li>Speakers Corner is a place to learn and a place to have fun!</li></ul> This program will involve BIST staff / students and BIST Members. Everyone will take a role in making the program work, such as: <ul><li>Master of Ceremonies</li><li>General Evaluator</li><li>Grammarian</li><li>Jokemaster</li><li>Timer</li><li>Quiz master</li><li>Table Topics</li><li>Speaker!</li></ul> We will learn as we grow this program – including each role and what it involves.
