Tickets will become available October 7, 2016 @ 8:00 am
Dear children and parents,
Have you ever created a science “ghost buster”? Are you interested in testing how sour Halloween candy is? Do creepy, crawly things excite you? Then be sure to attend the 5th annual Spooky Science Weekend, organized by Let’s Talk Science at the University of Lethbridge. We would like to invite all youth ages 5 to 12 to attend one of our Spooky Science Nights, which will take place on the following dates:
Friday, October 21st: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday, October 22nd: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Saturday, October 22nd: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
at the University of Lethbridge University Hall Atrium.
Please be advised that you will be asked to sign a Release of Liability, Risk Acknowledgment and Indemnity Agreement and a Form of Consent for the use of Likeness/Voice/Name for Marketing & Adverstising Purposes upon your arrival. These must be completed for all participants, as such if you are attending with children other than your own, their parent/guardian should provide permission. If you would like to print and fill out the forms prior to arrival they are available at the links below (copy and paste into browser):
This evening will be filled with fun, Halloween based hands-on science activities sure to excite and engage the younger generation, followed by some captivating and explosive demonstrations. All of the above activities are provided to your family at no cost!
If you are interested in participating, select the date on which you wish to attend from the drop down menu above and the corresponding date and time under the ticket tab, select the number of children you will be bringing with you under "Quantity" and click on the "Register" button. Space is limited to the first 100 children to register for each night. Science is fun when it is performed in a safe and controlled environment; therefore we ask that all participants are accompanied by at least one adult. Children are also encouraged to wear their costumes (it is Halloween after all!), but it is not required. Please register by October 18, 2015.
If you have any further questions, or would like to learn more about Let’s Talk Science, please don’t hesitate to contact us at email@example.com.
We are very excited about this year’s Spooky Science Weekend and look forward to seeing you on October 21st and 22nd!
