Join us for a community screening of Jon Chiang’s Spring After Spring at the Chinatown Storytelling Centre. Winner of Best Canadian Feature at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival, the film follows the Ho sisters as they reunite each Lunar New Year to lead Vancouver’s Chinatown Parade. After their mother, Maria “Mimie” Ho, founder of the Strathcona Chinese Dance Company, passed away, her loss left a void in both the community and their lives. As they reunite, the sisters confront grief, identity, and what it means to carry her legacy forward.

Screening + Q&A with director Jon Chiang and the Ho sisters: Anabel, Val “Ms. Vee”, and Lisa Ho.
