Camp He Ho Ha

We will be starting some edible garden seeds indoors.

Hey Campers! Gardening indoors is a great way to bring some freshness into your space and to also nurture your hearts and bellies. We are going to be planting some herbs and greens to eat when they are ready! These can be grown indoors for a long term or moved outside when the weather is nicer. The supplies you'll need for this program are: <ul><li>a few (6-12) small containers for seeds (ie: plastic cups, egg carton, empty yogurt cups, etc.)</li><li>potting soil</li><li>water jug or pitcher filled with water</li><li>seeds of your favourite herbs (ie: parsley, cilantro, basil, sage, etc)</li><li>seeds of your favourite greens (ie: lettuce, kale, arugula, etc)</li><li>scissors</li><li>sharpie</li><li>popsicle sticks for labelling (as many as the containers you will fill)</li><li>cookie sheet</li></ul>I was able to find a greenhouse starter kit at Dollarama for about $4 and then bought seeds there as well. You can use this rather than the items listed above. I have included a picture of the kit below. We hope you'll join us!____________________________This is an online interactive session so you will need the following:<ul><li>A computer, tablet, or phone with a good internet connection</li><li>A microphone (headphones with a microphone, a computer, or a phone/tablet with the microphone enabled).</li><li>A camera linked to your device to interact with the group, we would love to see you. (Please note that these meetings are recorded.)</li></ul>Once you've registered for this event, we will email you a Zoom link that will be active at 6:45PM.
