Bridging the Science-Policy Void:  Developing Briefs and Meeting with Politicians Do you think science should influence policy? Do you have a particular issue that you would like to bring to the attention of policy makers? Sign up for a policy training session hosted by the SSE Policy Committee (free to SSE members).  In this training session, we will conduct web seminars about effective science policy; you will then be given instructions on writing a brief and feedback on your brief (conducted via email), followed by an on-line Q&A panel on meeting with policy makers. Following training, you will be tasked with meeting a policy maker (your local congressperson or senator or a state or city politician, depending on the issue you wish to raise). Upon completion, you will receive a letter of completion and a certificate of $50 towards reduced registration at a future Evolution meeting.  Register by December 15 (training to take place in January-March 2018). Register early: Limited to 15 members.
