Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is the largest community museum in Ontario with two indoor museum galleries and a 60 acre living history exhibit called Doon Heritage Village that is open seasonally from May 1 to December 23.

Step Back in Time and Into the Heart of the Holidays with the FRIENDS of Waterloo Region Museums

The FRIENDS of Waterloo Region Museums are thrilled to welcome you back to Starry Night, their holiday celebration at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum and Doon Heritage Village.Take a leisurely stroll through the lantern-lit village and drift back to Christmases long ago. Wander the quaint street, peek inside some of the charming historic buildings, and feel the gentle of this holiday season. Sip on apple cider, nibble on sweet treats and festive music and carols. Be sure to bring your camera has there’s a very special guest stopping by. Please note that some but not all buildings will be opened for this event, as we are still in the process of reopening Doon for the spring of 2026.Event Highlights<ul><li>Stroll through Doon Village in its lantern-lit beauty</li><li>Step Inside Cozy Shops and Homes</li><li>Enjoy warm apple cider &amp; sweet treats</li><li>Take part in carol singing and festive music</li><li>Magical holiday photos opportunities</li></ul> Nightly DrawGift Baskets will be given away for lucky winners to take home both evenings! Each ticket holder’s name will be placed in a draw to win. This fundraising event is presented by the FRIENDS of Waterloo Region Museums. All proceeds will support the FRIENDS to enhance the programming and activities that bring history to life at the Region of Waterloo’s Museums. Much of this event will take place outdoors so seasonal / outdoor clothing is recommended.Ticket PricesAdults(18+): $28+ HSTChildren(ages 3-17): $15 + HSTChildren 2 years and younger: FREE Please note: All tickets are final sale.
