Basic Skills & Problem Solving I - by Spirit of Math Schools Inc.
This program is primarily intended for students entering grades 2 and 3 who want a “refresher” before school starts. It is also ideal for new students who would like to experience the Spirit of Math classroom or establish some skills before starting the school year evening classes.
Content includes addition and multiplication drills, number theory topics such as regrouping and mental math, and problem-solving topics such as consecutive number problems, counting shapes, date problems, cuts and pieces, and integers.
Optional Afternoon Add-On: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Spirit of Math is excited to announce that we have partnered up with the Chess2Inspire summer camp, giving families the option of levelling up their half-day of engaging math enrichment to a full day of learning fun!
About the Camp:
Chess2Inspire Association is a registered non-profit organization promoting chess to children in BC. The target audience of the summer camps are for students from grades 2 to 9 who have little or no experience in chess. Chess has been proven to be a tremendous benefit to childrens’ cognitive and social development. The Summer Camp introduces students to the proper rules and basic knowledge of different phases of the game of chess. The Camp consists of lessons, game practices, tournaments and fun activities.

Is there before and after care?
No, we are not offering before and after-care at this time.
Are lunch and snacks included?
No. Each student must bring a nut-free lunch and snack.
Can I register and pay for both the math camp and the chess camp through one page?
Registration and payment for the chess camp must be completed separately through Chess2Inspire.
