A post mortem of the GRID event and what it can teach game developers.

This post-mortem talk will delve into the transformative power of structured, facilitated playtesting, an approach that attempts to spark new ideas and elevate game quality. It will lead a post-mortem of The G.R.I.D., a unique and welcoming behind-the-scenes initiative designed specifically for indie developers, studios, and solo creators to showcase their games and receive targeted, constructive feedback for their games at any stage of development. We'll cover some of its foundational principles, the practicality of facilitating playtesting sessions, and the lessons learned from this first attempt. Presented by Antonio Miceli, 15-year software development veteran, black belt karate practitioner, and lifelong professional wrestling enthusiast, Antonio brings creative energy and spontaneity to his work in game development. Since founding Mega Power Games in 2020, he has pushed to create innovative and engaging experiences for players. His debut title, DepowerBall, was released on Steam in 2023 and is set for a multiplatform console release in 2025.
