Join us for two lively days of informative conversations and disseminations on the transportation experiences of post-secondary students!

About this event

Moving the Student Body

Join us for a two-day symposium and seminar event on student travel in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). This event will feature conversations, presentations, debates, and panel discussions from a diverse body of researchers, academic leaders, policy makers and advocates, to discuss insights from the StudentMoveTO study and their implications for creating better transportation services in this region, and improving student well-being.

This event is open to anyone interested in transportation planning in the GTHA. Researchers, students, urban planners, policy makers, transportation advocates, and the broader public are welcome to attend. Registration is free – space is limited. Exact locations are provided on the tickets and on the StudentMoveTO website.

June 3rd - York University

From 1 to 5pm at the Kaneff Tower.

Day 1 will feature a moderated discussion and presentation from multiple speakers on the results of the StudentMoveTO research collaboration project. Afterwards, a panel discussion with our partners will be conducted to discuss these results.

Light refreshments and snacks will be served during the event.

June 4th - Toronto Metropolitan University

Formerly Ryerson University. From 9:30am to 1:15pm at the South Bond Building.

Day 2 will feature seminars presented by researchers from Toronto Metropolitan University, York University, the University of Toronto and OCAD University to provide insights from the StudentMoveTO research projects.

Light refreshments and snacks will be served during the event.
