Since 2012 the subDevision Collective has been producing pop-up event subDevision, a site-specific theatrical event that exists to bring together diverse artists and independent theatre companies to create unique works of performance art that push the boundaries of the spaces that situate them.

subDevision Collective

This November, eight local theatre companies will descend on La Nouvelle Scene Gilles Desjardins in downtown Ottawa, inviting audience members to join them on a theatrical adventure unlike any other. It’s subDevision 2019! Taking place amidst a massive party, discover each piece as the artists imagine what the future holds. Creative solutions never looked so cool.
subDevision is a theatrical experience framed by a massive party; audience members convene in a central location with a bar and dance floor and are encouraged to see as many shows as they wish, weaving through La Nouvelle Scene Gilles Desjardins and discovering adventure around every corner! subDevision is proud to be presented in both French and English thanks to collaboration with Théâtre Catapulte.
