Join us at Healthy Minds Cooperative for an engaging, informative, and compassionate workshop focused on substance use harm reduction.
This, in-person, workshop is designed for community members who want to better understand substance use, reduce stigma, and learn practical strategies that promote safety and well-being.
Whether you are supporting a loved one, working in the community, or simply want to be better informed, this workshop will provide accessible, evidence-based information in a welcoming and judgment-free space.
What We’ll Cover:
- What harm reduction is (and what it isn’t)
- Understanding substance use and stigma
- Substance use and its impact on mental health (for the substance user & affected others!)
- Practical strategies to reduce risk and promote safety
- How to have supportive, nonjudgmental conversations
- Local resources and pathways to care
This workshop centers dignity, compassion, and community care. No prior knowledge or experience is required.
Who Should Attend?
- Adults 18+
- Family and friends of people who use substances
- Peer supporters
- Anyone interested in learning more about harm reduction
