Sugaring Off

Believe it or not, but winter is coming to an end.  As the sun warms & nature thaws, sap begins to run again in maple trees which means one thing: maple syrup.  Join us at Hart House Farm for our annual Sugaring Off, where our own maple trees are tapped to be made into delicious maple syrup. Our farm tour will take you to our maple tree forest & sugar shack, where you can learn how we boil down sap to make this tasty treat. We will also provide you with a pancake brunch so you can experience Hart House Farm's very own maple syrup. Other events taking place will be a craft workshop and a chance to go down to the hot sauna and participate in a polar dip.  Please make sure you bring appropriate footwear clothing to stay warm, as well as a swimsuit & towel if you would like to go for a swim.  Sugaring Off is a fun & delicious event! We hope to see you there! 
Please alert us to any dietary needs or allergies when purchasing tickets; we will try to accomodate dietary needs as best as we can, however, we can't promise to accomodate every need.
Also, remember to bring your own utensils (tupperware or plates, knives, forks, spoons, mugs, bowls, etc.) for meals. We are trying to be more eco-friendly and will have cleaning stations for people to wash their cutlery, plates and bowls.

UofT students & Hart House Members may purchase tickets for up to 2 guests, & must be attending the event with their guest(s).  $15 (incl. HST) - with bus  $15 (incl. HST) - without bus  FREE for children under 5 years of age. Ticket includes a PANCAKE BRUNCH to enjoy the Farm's very own maple syrup, as well as SUPPER. Please note that no children under 18 months will be allowed on bus; any young child on the bus must be able to sit up on their own (support their own weight) and have a parent/caregiver sitting beside them. 
*** WE WILL NOT REFUND TICKETS LESS THAN 72 HOURS BEFORE THE EVENT. NO EXCEPTIONS. *** 
*** We are trying to go eco-friendly, so please bring your own tupperware or containers for lunch and dinner. We serve a soup, salad, main and dessert for each meal, so remember to bring your own container for each.
*** Please note, due to the large volume of guests at this event, the upstairs floor will be closed off. The bathrooms run on a sceptic tank which is easily overwhelmed and can cause flooding or water shortages when too many people use the bathrooms. So, there will be portapotties outside for guest use. 
 No pets, please.
