Mentee Registration (Deposit)
Although the program has no cost, Mentees need to make a registration deposit of $35.00 CAD. This deposit is reimbursable upon completion of the program or in the event that a suitable Mentor assignment is not possible. By registering, participants commit to a minimum of thirteen 1-1 meetings with their Mentor and to participate in at least two of the three online group meetings: Kickoff ( August), Mid-term ( late September) and Graduation (mid November).

Super Mentor
Role: • Provide best practices and guidance to mentors • Facilitate communication between mentors on their professional area • Help Mentors achieve their objectives • Keeps track of the support provided and report to the program coordinator • Request from the supported Mentor an endorsment of the support Requirement: Minimum Green Belt level and 6 hours of interaction in the program

What is Mentoring?

Mentoring is a relationship between one person (the Mentor) with certain knowledge, skills and connections, and another person (the Mentee) who wants to acquire more knowledge, skills, and connections for his or her own personal and professional growth.


What is the Joint Mentorship Program 2020?

The objective of the Mentorship Program is to help internationally trained professionals make the transition to work in Canada, improve their skills and confidence while developing professional connections.

The Mentorship Program for 2020 is being jointly organized by Hispanotech, the Canadian Colombian Professional Association, Javerianos en Canada, ISACA Toronto Chapter, PwC's Latin Inclusion Network, EXATEC GTA, and E&Y's Latin Professional Network. 

The program matches immigrant professionals (Mentees) with seasoned professionals (Mentors) already established in Canada who share similar professional backgrounds and career interests.

Over a three-month period, each Mentor-Mentee pair works together defining a realistic set of goals and executing an action plan to achieve these goals.


How does it work?

Participants commit to an online or in person meeting once per week for three months. The program will try to match Mentors with a Mentee with similar backgrounds and interests.

The program will monitor and support the mentorship relationship through ongoing advice, group interactions, networking, and problem‐solving exercises.

Over the course of the program, we will present webinars and provide learning material to each pair of mentor and mentee.


Mentorship Program Requirements 

  • Mentors need to have a minimun of 3 years of direct experience in the Canadian labour market in their industry of professional practice
  • Mentors and Mentees must be registered members of one or more of the partner organizations (Hispanotech, CCPA, Javerianos en Canada, ISACA, PwC, EXATEC GTA, or E&Y)
  • Participants must complete a minimum of 13 hours of phone or online meetings in the season period
  • They must record each meeting in a log file
  • Participate at least in 2 of the 3 online group meetings
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada as a full time employee (Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or holder of a Temporary Work Permit)
  • Participants that complete all the requirements will receive a certificate of participation in the program
  • Upon request, a letter certifying the total volunteer hours will be issued to Mentors so they can claim their Professional Development Units (PDUs)

150+ mentees who graduated from the program have obtained employment in their field, either during the length of the program or within 3 months after graduation.

Hispanotech is a not-for profit Canadian corporation with the mission to promote the success and be the voice of Hispanics in Canada’s technology sectors.

Federally incorporated in 2008, Hispanotech is led by a volunteer-based Board of Directors. Hispanotech strives to achieve their mission through the organization of networking events and conferences featuring speakers from global corporations, covering leading-edge technology topics.

Also, Hispanotech has special focus groups such as Women in IT and actively partners up with other Hispanic professional organizations to collaboratively organize a solid and successful Mentorship Program.



The Canadian Colombian Professional Association, known as CCPA, is a member-based organization founded in 2001 by a group of professionals with the noble idea of contributing to the development and growth of the Hispanic community in Canada.

Delivering an unmatched range of information resources and professional development opportunities, the CCPA aims to help its members build and expand their career network in Toronto, Ontario and get their skills and talent recognized.

The CCPA collaborates closely with other Professional Associations, Government-funded agencies, Community Organization and diverse stakeholders in order to create opportunities for Spanish-speaking Internationally trained professionals living in. The CCPA is an organization affiliated with TRIEC, the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council and member of PINs – the Professional Immigrant Networks.


Javerianos en Canada

The Javerianos en Canada Association has the mission to promote the development of an ethical and professional community, characterized by unity and excellence. Their main commitment will be oriented dynamically and enthusiastically to the achievement of the integration of the Xaverians and the provision of human and professional support to all those who require it under the spirit of Javerianidad.

Javerianos in Canada's vision is to become a structured, united and clearly recognized association for the professionalism and social responsibility of its members. The Association will promote the development of Xaverian professionals in the Canadian labor market and will be an important pillar in the support of the Javerianidad, of the Colombian Community, and of the other communities in Canada.



The ISACA Toronto Chapter, with 2500 plus members, is the largest chapter in Canada and the 5th largest in the world. As of 2017, it will have existed in the Toronto information systems audit, control and governance community for 40 years, and is one of the most active ISACA chapters serving IT Governance, Risk, Audit, and Securityprofessionals.

The ISACA Toronto Chapter mission is to support the professional development of our members and enhance the benefits of IT governance, control and security in the business community.

ISACA member's experience with the Toronto Chapter will provide professional development, individual value in the business community and a sense of belonging to a professional organization. EXATEC GTA is the official community integrated by Tecnológico de Monterrey Alumni living in the Greater Toronto Area.
