🎭 Richmond Theatre Improv Society Presents: Summer Kickoff! 🎭

School’s out, the sun is shining, and the comedy forecast calls for 100% chance of laughter! Join RITS at the Richmond Arts Centre on June 19 for a high-energy night of unscripted fun featuring local improv talent, spontaneous silliness, and enough summer vibes to melt your popsicle.

We’re kicking off the season with a lineup hotter than pavement in July:

☀️ Opening Act: Teen Improvisers!
Starting the night are our bold and brilliant teen performers, bringing fresh ideas, fearless energy, and quick-witted comedy straight to the stage. These young improvisors are ready to prove that summer break is best spent making audiences laugh.

☀️ Then it’s time for Those Types!
You know, THOSE Types.

Armed with audience suggestions and absolutely no script, this crew delivers fast-paced comedy, unexpected twists, and chaotic fun from start to finish. Through a fully improvised longform set, Those Types will build wild characters, connected scenes, and laugh-out-loud moments completely on the spot.

☀️ Closing out the night: Home of Sapiens!
To mark the seasonal migration, The Home of Sapiens will gather for an evening of fast-paced improv, experimental game mutations, and coordinated joke delivery. Blending short-form games with a vacation report-inspired longform set, the troupe will spin travel tales, unexpected detours, and absurd discoveries into scenes created completely on the spot — all inspired by your suggestions.

One night only. One stage. 90 minutes of sunshine-fueled mayhem.
