M﻿AE STUDIO InstructorCécile Raizonville  collaborate creatively with local textile and fashion brands. She   graduated from LCI Fashion design program  in Barcelona. She founded  the  womenswear Brand Matière Noire with two collaborators in Montréal which gained recognition at a national level.  She moved to British Columbia in 2016 and has worked in the garment manufacturing industry since then.  After offering consulting services for various brand in Vancouver, she officially launched MAE , a studio aiming at to bringing her experience and creativity at the service of the growth of a culture of sustainability in Fashion.

Create Your Own Perfect Summer Set In this fun and hands-on 3-part sewing workshop, you'll design and sew a custom summer outfit by mixing and matching your choice of skirts, tops, shirts, or shorts. Whether you’re dreaming of a breezy top and comfy shorts or a matching skirt-and-shirt combo, this workshop will guide you through the process of bringing your summer look to life.Over three sessions, you'll deepen your understanding of garment construction and sewing techniques suited for lightweight, summer-friendly fabrics. This workshop is ideal for beginners who are ready to move beyond basic projects and start building wearable, personalized garments.You’ll learn to: ✔ Read and follow commercial sewing patterns ✔ Take body measurements and choose the correct size ✔ Adjust and modify patterns for a better fit ✔ Work with lightweight woven fabrics ✔ Use seam finishes like French seams or serging for professional results ✔ Insert waistbands, facings, and pockets (depending on your chosen project) ✔ Sew hems and closures such as buttons or elasticSaturdays – July 5,12,19th 10am to 12:30pm By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with a completed summer outfit you’ll be proud to wear—and the skills to recreate it again and again.All materials and patterns will be available for purchase in-studio. Sewing machines and tools are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own.Beginners are welcome !Sewing Machine providedFabric and notions are in addition. Our studio carries all the material needed for the workshop , You are welcome to come shop our Circular Textile Store ( fabric at 12$/meter )Please note that this workshop is for those aged 16 and over Port Coquitlam (2071 Kingsway Avenue unit 701 )Group Size: 5 students (ensuring personalized attention) Mae studio's Spring 2025 sewing and pattern drafting courses will inspire you to create and sew essential garment pieces that will fits you perfectly.
