SWEET: Faculty Faceoff Valentines Day Edition

Join us at Science World for FREE on Valentines day for our next Science World Extravagant Evening for Teens (SWEET) and experience some loving competition between post-secondary institutions!

Make some liquid nitrogen ice cream, check out psychology experiments in decision making, heart dissections, Augmented Reality Awesomeness, Genetics Guitar Hero, and explore the universe of love with experiments and demonstrations in physics, kinesiology, Chemistry, Biology and more! Galleries will be open to explore!

Featuring:

Over TEN guest exhibitors and presenters from UBC, Langara, KPU, Vancouver Community College, Douglas College, Genome BC and Science World's Future Science Leaders!

A LIVE demo-off with demos presented by:

• Langara Department of Chemistry
• Douglas College Department of Physics and Astronomy
• UBC Sensorimotor Lab at the School of Kinesiology

This year, the guest presenters will be challenged to create Valentine's day-themed demonstrations, so don't miss out!

Science World's Teen Advisory Group will determine the winning presenters of the following categories:

• Highest Audience Engagement
• Biggest “Wow!” (Most Surprising)
• Most Topical (Valentine's Day special)
• Future Thinker (most innovative/potential to be the biggest asset to society in the future)
• Best Dressed Presenter(s)
• People’s choice (you decide!!)
