Overview

Attention: All secondary school students looking to earn volunteer hours!

📌 Wasaga Beach Public Library card required for registration.

📌 Grades: 8-12
Are you in Grades 8 to 12, want to earn community involvement hours, build leadership skills and meet new friends? If so, come join us at the library and become a member of the Teen Idea Engine.

The Teen Idea Engine meets one Monday a month from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. New members are always welcome!

What is the Teen Idea Engine? It is a group teens that attend meetings to discuss and contribute ideas for services and programs for teens in the library, and earn volunteer hours.

• Help develop, plan and implement programs for Teens and young adults.

• Support the Teen Idea Engine and library though marketing and outreach initiatives.

• Share input about new collections and suggest titles.

• Read YA fiction books and write reviews.

• Help create a welcoming and fun atmosphere.

• Inspire other youth to become life-long library users.

• Help build valuable skills like time management, marketing, project management and public speaking.

All you need to bring are your ideas!

Registration encouraged, drop-ins are welcome!
