L﻿ive music by <a href="https://matthewburkhart.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Matthew Burkhart</a>Ontario singer-songwriter Matthew Burkhart began writing solo material in 2019 leading to a creative explosion in songwriting. Armed with a stripped-down, visceral and honest sound, Burkhart’s debut solo EP “Slow Burn” was called a “seamless synergy between music and words, painting the world in primary colours” by Sirius XM. Drawing inspiration from classic Americana Rock ballads with dashes of Folk and Country, Burkhart’s striking vocals wrap the songs together with a fervent energy.Two years of post-covid touring and performing all over Ontario inspired Burkhart to dive into his latest project – an 11-song Country/Rock LP titled “Runaway Star” set to be released independently on Friday June 2nd, 2023. Produced once again by Brandon Fehderau at Mkondo Studio, the first single “Step Into the Dream” hits streaming platforms Friday, March 3rd.
