The Girls Empowerment Movement (GEM) is excited to present our first online event of 2021, the Greenfull Project, a FREE space for youth ages 13-25 of all identities and abilities, to learn more about food sustainability, security, and sovereignty on land currently known as the Peel Region, Ontario, Canada. Join us for an interactive Zoom session to discuss how we can change our present and future through personal learning, action, and collective resistance. We will be joined by community guest facilitators Rav (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/shadeofmiti/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@Shade of Miti</a>), an urban farmer running a climate justice organization, and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/justice4indianfarmersto/?hl=en" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Justice for Indian Farmers TO</a>, a grassroots organization of Sikh-Punjabi youth advocating for farmers and workers rights in India. To ensure the virtual safety of all participants, we ask those interested to pre-register to attend. If you can no longer attend, kindly let us know so we can ensure those on the waitlist can attend. Volunteer hours can be provided on request. This event is supported with funding through the Jane Goodall&#x27;s Roots and Shoots A.P.E. Fund and additional support from Rapport Youth &amp; Family Services.Please Note: The GEM team is committed to creating an accessible and anti-oppressive space.
