The Heroes Cup

Heroes for HIPpy is a student-led social impact organization mobilizing community champions to end hip dysplasia. Founded through a children’s book project by then Gr. 8 student Travis Gao, the book featured stories from Olympians and Paralympians that shared stories about determination and resilience in the face of adversity.Heroes for HIPpy uses sport, storytelling, and experiential events to raise awareness for early detection and treatment. By engaging students, athletes, and healthcare partners, the organization empowers young leaders to turn empathy into action, helping ensure every child has the opportunity to move, play, and thrive.
