The Open Book Mic

The Open Book Mic

Overview

Get ready to share your stories, poems, and songs at The Open Book Mic - a cozy gathering of literature and music lovers!

Open Book Mic is a welcoming space for storytellers, poets, comedians, and personal essayists to share their work in a supportive, inclusive community. Whether you're sharing polished pieces or testing out fresh material, this is a low-pressure environment where your voice matters.

What to Expect:

Come ready to listen generously and share boldly. Each performer gets 5 minutes of stage time (more if we have lower turnout). Audiences are just as important as performers—your presence, attention, and encouragement create the magic of the night.

The Vibe:

Respectful. Inclusive. Community-centered. We have zero tolerance for rude, disruptive, or intolerant behavior. This is a safe space where everyone can feel like they belong.

Practical Details:

• Hosted at Café Eevee, a cozy community café

• Street parking available in the surrounding area

• Food and drinks available (no alcoholic beverages)

• Pay-what-you-can (PWYC) admission

• Come early if you want a seat or are thinking about performing

Don't need to perform to attend—audience members are always welcome. Solo attendance? Absolutely. This is a place for everyone.
