Elevate is a community looking to elevate one another, elevate their skills, elevate their community, and elevate their lives to a new level. Through support and collaboration with like-minded people and community initiatives, we will elevate our impact on our local community. Carrie Doll merged her love of storytelling and public speaking by becoming a coach, keynote speaker and professional emcee following a 20 year career as a television news anchor. She considers public speaking to be a life skill so she wrote and launched her online course, “The Power of Public Speaking”. She also believes in the power of story which is reflected in the interviews she does for her podcast, “The Inner Circle with Carrie Doll”. Carrie was honored as one of the top citizens in the province of Alberta, is the past chair of the Stollery Women’s Network, and sits on an Edmonton Mental Health board. She is married to entrepreneur Stephen Petasky who founded “The Luxus Group”. Together they are the proud parents of their son Kasha and daughter Allegra.

Katherine O’Neill joined YWCA Edmonton as Chief Executive Officer on March 16, 2020. She is a passionate advocate for the rights of girls and women and inspiring people to hear the important call of community service.
Katherine has worked in leadership positions in communications and politics throughout her career. A writer by trade, she spent most of her journalism career working as a national correspondent with the Globe and Mail, dispatching stories from across Canada and even the battlefields of Afghanistan in 2008.
After leaving journalism, the mother of three led several political organizations in Alberta. She also ran a communications company that specialized in crisis communications and media relations.
Katherine has led and volunteered with several not-for-profit boards and committees, including organizations with a focus on early childhood education, literacy and disability services. She currently chairs the River Valley Alliance board as a director-at-large for the City of Edmonton.
Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Journalism from Carleton University.

Dr. Kara Otuomagie is an active member of our fitness community here in Edmonton. As a Chiropractor that works with athletes, she has worked with the likes of the Alberta Ballet, Grant McEwan Griffins, University of Alberta: Track &amp; Field, Soccer and Basketball, Edmonton FC and the Calgary Stampeders. Her diversified techniques of implementing body mechanics and various treatment methods such as Active Release Therapy (ART), Graston, Acupuncture, and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS)/ Dry Needling allow her to assist her patients to achieve their personal and professional goals.She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta and went on to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and McMaster University for her Chiropractic and Acupuncture designations respectively.Photo credit: Emilie Iggiotti
