Do I need to wear WHITE?

YES. Your WHITE choices for clothing doesn't need to be fancy, but we are wanting a unique aesthetic experience . A sea of all white under white lights in the setting sun is purely a magical experience.

How many people will be attending?

We will open ticket sales to 100 people. No limit on the numbers that can be purchased. We are anticipating a Sold Out event and will limit our ticket sales to 100 each and every year.

What are you raising funds for?

Accepted Answer

The VDRC is one of Canada's few remaining volunteer run facilities for horse enthusiasts. A shift to privatization is quickly eroding accessibility for many. This year's event will help fund new flooring for our Clubhouse. It is currently painted plywood.

Question 4

Where can I park?

Accepted Answer

As with most of our horse shows, the grassy areas provide the perfect place for you to park your cars. Please remember to shut the gate behind you when you enter the property to ensure any four legged friends stay safe.

Question 5

What about the weather?

This is an outdoor, rain or shine event. Please dress appropriately. Evenings will be cool at this time of year. Please remember sweaters, jackets, blankets etc. should still follow the WHITE dress code. In the event of a public safety weather issue we may postpone the event.

Question 6

What Sponsorship options are there with the VDRC?

The VDRC has many different sponsorship options available and we are actively looking for more sponsors. We have something to fit every budget from class sponsors to full event sponsors and even "in-kind" sponsors. Please reach out to info@vernonridinglcub.com for more information.

Can I bring my children?

We anticipate this to be a fun adult evening, although there will be children participating in the performances, we will only be selling 100 tickets. As this is a fundraiser with limited space, all participants, regardless of age, must pay full price to attend. We appreciate your understanding.

I don't know anything about horses, can I still come?

YES! This event is FOR YOU! We want the community to experience our beautiful facility and grounds. We want to showcase what a hidden gem the VDRC is and would love to expose businesses, corporations and community members to our little piece of heaven in hopes of enticing future sponsorship support.

Can you support dietary restrictions?

Our caterer is very experienced and can support most dietary requirements. Please send any dietary concerns to carla at info@specialtyequine.com

Question 10

Can I book groups?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We would love nothing more than a big group of friends, family and co-workers to experience this magical event together! We will have an open seating arrangement, however, if we find an influx of group tickets we may opt to create a formal seating schedule.

Question 11

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Due to the expense of booked caterers, entertainment and rental equipment we are unable to refund tickets, we will, however, allow you to transfer your ticket to another person. You can choose to resell the ticket or gift it to them. Please advise carla at info@specialtyequine.com with any changes.

Question 12

What Footwear should I wear?

The grounds at VDRC are uneven. In keeping with everyone's safety we would recommend not wearing heels and instead, wearing comfortable shoes. You will be walking on grass and possibly sand.
