Third Space Night
Our monthly gatherings are a ‘third space’ for intentional connection, meaningful conversations & building community in Vancouver, BC.
April Theme: Getting to the Hang
Why does “We should hangout sometime! ” rarely translate into real plans? Why does that group camping trip come up every year but never make it to the campsite? And why does choosing a place to eat with friends sometimes feel like such a struggle?
At this Third Space Night, we’re diving into what gets in the way of turning good intentions into real-life connection– and how to change that. We’ll be joined by Erin Prelypchan, a Third Space community member and founder of Kadro Canada, a small business dedicated to helping groups make decisions together. She’ll share practical insights to help us move from endless group chats to actual plans.
We’ll swap stories, share ideas, and explore how we can make our summer plans actually happen this year. As always, expect icebreakers to make new connections, meaningful conversations, and space to just hang out and enjoy dessert together.
Spaces are limited to keep the gathering connective. To help contribute to event costs and keep Third Space running, select a 'Pay What You Can' ticket.

About Third Space:
We host monthly gatherings that bring people together across ages and backgrounds to connect, have genuine conversations, and build community in Vancouver, BC. We're intentional about creating a warm, welcoming and connective 'third space' (places outside of home and work/school to be around community) where there's no networking pressure or phone scrolling - just good people and thoughtful chats.
Join us on the last Wednesday of every month for:
- Activities to meet new people
- Inspiring talks from local community-builders
- Small group conversations
- A ‘live community board’ to share what’s happening around the city
- Open space to just hangout- did we mention there's always dessert?
Third Space Nights are designed to make connection easier, with friendly volunteers to welcome you, guided activities, and conversation prompts. Each gathering explores a theme that sparks meaningful conversation - like how to meet your neighbours in a big city or how food brings people together.
Third Space is a grassroots initiative run entirely by volunteers. We are not a registered non-profit or charity. 'Pay what you can' tickets and any other contributions go directly towards covering event costs. Learn more about how we operate and build this space together through the Third Space Policy Disclosure. If you have questions or would like to get involved, reach out at thirdspacevancouver@gmail.com.
