The Council for Advancement of African Canadians in Alberta (CAAC), operating as Africa Centre, was incorporated in 2006. We are the largest pan African non-profit organization in western Canada, serving as a community hub that provides programs and services from a place of cultural awareness and competency to the families in our diverse community.We acknowledge the diversity of our cultural background as a source of the strength that brings capacity and competencies to shape a thriving community in Alberta. An intergenerational crochet experience for seniors and youth

This fall, join Africa Centre’s Seniors Engagement and Well-being Program for Threads That Bind, an intergenerational crochet and tea experience bringing together seniors and people of all other ages to learn, create and connect.More than a crochet circle, this series is a celebration of African heritage, creativity, and connection across generations. Seniors are especially encouraged to participate alongside family members or friends from different generations for a shared, collaborative experience.What to expect:<ul><li>Warm conversations over tea and treats</li><li>Hands-on crochet practice</li><li>Collaborative project creation from start to finish</li></ul>Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned crocheter, you’ll leave with completed pieces and lasting connections.
