Full Circle: First Nations Performanceis a non-profit society and registered charity that creates opportunities for Indigenous artists. Margo Kane (Cree/Saulteaux), an interdisciplinary artist and Indigenous arts leader, founded Full Circle in 1992. Upon establishing Full Circle, Kane's vision was to make a profound contribution to the development of Indigenous performance in Canada.Traditionally, in the Indigenous world, art is not separated from the community. It is integral to a happy and healthy way of life. Full Circle believes in rooting art back into the community, where it was traditionally and where it is intended to be. Through creating opportunities for Indigenous artists to express their life experiences and engage with audiences of all ages and backgrounds, we share these values with as wide a scope as possible so that people of all races and ages have a better understanding of First Nations, Métis and Inuit culture.Talking Stick Festival 2023: Summer ReverbThe Festival’s theme, “Summer Reverb” brings together the idea of amplified sound and amplified voices in musical performances, similar to the star and water ripples reverberating outwards. The Talking Stick Festival celebrates diversity and inclusivity, welcoming Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer Artists, and promises vibrant entertainment. The vast range of events include: a documentary screening, a theatre performance, a book launch (accompanied by a conversation with an award-winning author and local journalist), a Burlesque show, the Summer Reverb Gala, Dj Spins, and an immersive 4D audio performance.Headlining the event is musician Logan Staats, DJ KOOKUM and singer-songwriter, activist, and storyteller Pura Fé. Festival partners include: The Cultch, Punctuate! Theatre, Massy Books, Massy Arts, Vancouver Public Library, Queer Arts Festival, Coastal Jazz, VIFF, Primary Colours/Couleurs primaires, and Delinquent Theatre.Join the celebration!

In the heart of America, the language of the body fades a steep path. Between dance and theatre, two native Mexicans of Nahua and Mixtec descent share their quest for identity by drawing on their culture and the history of their ancestors. The duo sketches the paintings of their metamorphoses through the ages, revealing their tears and always keeping hope of finding themselves.
Languages ​​and myths will guide this inevitable journey that redraws borders and makes skins coated by will or force. Unraveling what unites us, what pulls us away from the other and from ourselves, Tlakentli questions identity through migration and explores the myth of our original elegance.
