Learn, build, repair, repeat!
Featured Topic: LM386 Audio Amplifiers.
The LM386 is useful to add sound to any project with an optional gain stage that makes it ideal for guitar practice amps. We will see (and hear) a few examples and have parts and schematics on hand to assemble your own. If interested in building an LM386 amp circuit, think about bringing an audio source to test and how you'll connect it to your circuit. I'll bring a few RCA, 1/8" (3.5mm), and 1/4" inputs on hand. Your phone will work too, iPhones may need the adapter to convert to a headphone-style (3.5mm) jack.
Are you interested in how things work? Working on a project and looking for people to brainstorm with? Interested in helping others to solve problems or repair circuits? We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at Site 3 Colaboratory in downtown Toronto.
Meetings are free for Site 3 members, and PWYC for non-members. All donations help us cover facilities and parts.
Typically we do a round of intros, talk about and show our current projects, help any new people with questions and then get into our builds or a topic.
