Panel Discussion &amp; Reception: Religious and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion at workPride at Work Canada’s ProPride is returning to Toronto, to bring community and business leaders together. This panel discussion, organized by Pride at Work Canada with the support of Rainbow Faith &amp; Freedom, will delve into the intersections of gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, creed, and religion at work. Religious and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities are often portrayed as separate communities, while both experience being told that they are not appropriate in the workplace. It is also common that 2SLGBTQIA+ people of faith are marginalized by both their religious communities and the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Yet our religious beliefs, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression are all core parts of who people are and, to create true workplace belonging, all have to be respected. Join us for this important discussion that looks at allyship within and between equity-deserving groups. Cette table ronde, organisée par Fierté au travail Canada avec le soutien de Rainbow Faith &amp; Freedom, se penchera sur les recoupements entre l’identité de genre, l’expression de genre, l’orientation sexuelle, les croyances et la religion au travail. Les communautés religieuses et 2SLGBTQIA+ sont souvent dépeintes comme des communautés distinctes, alors que toutes deux se font dire qu’elles n’ont pas leur place en lieu de travail. Il est aussi courant que les personnes 2SLGBTQIA+ croyantes soient marginalisées à la fois par leurs communautés religieuses et par les communautés 2SLGBTQIA+. Pourtant, nos croyances religieuses, notre foi, notre orientation sexuelle, notre identité de genre et notre expression de genre sont des éléments essentiels de notre identité qui doivent être respectés pour favoriser un véritable sentiment d’appartenance en lieu de travail. Participez à cette importante discussion sur le rôle des personnes alliées au sein et entre les groupes en quête d’équité.
