Want to practice your makeup skills? Looking for a new look? Need a bit of a boost to try a new skill?Join Women's Centre and Out on Campus for a trans-affirming makeup session, taught by the makeup artist Jo Mintz! All SFU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as FIC students, are welcome at this event!About the MUA:Jo has been an artist for as long as she can remember; after completing a degree at Emily Carr University, she also got a diploma in Video Game Design before finding her passion for Makeup Artistry by completing a Fashion and Film Makeup Design diploma as well as an additional one in Advanced SFX Prosthetics.Jo truly believes that makeup should be a fun experience and a way to express your truest self. When she’s not doing set work for photography/film, she has a love for Drag Makeup as the on-set artist for the Vancouver Men’s Chorus yearly drag show, as well as performing in her own Drag persona, Cuppa Joe.---Cost: Free, RSVP + 5 $ returnable deposit required. We'd like to make sure folks show up and respect the MUA's time. The Forum Chambers are located on the second level of the Maggie Benston Centre near the parkade. There are button-operated doors to the building. There are gendered and accessible washrooms available on this floor, as well as gender-neutral accessible washroom. All-gender neutral washrooms are located on the first floor of the SUB. There are different types of seating: chairs and yoga mats. Please inform us of any other ways to ensure your access needs are met, send an e-mail to Constantin at ooc2@sfss.ca.
