Transit Summit

TTCriders is a public transitadvocacy group that gives transit riders a voice. We are transit users who want more and better public transit in Toronto.

TTCriders

TTCriders and friends are hosting a transit summit to build our movements for a world class public transit system that truly serves Torontonians and is affordable for all.  Our all-day summit will feature distinguished visiting professor at Ryerson University and Founder of the Institute for Change Leaders, Olivia Chow,  as our keynote speaker, up to five skill-building workshops to improve our ability to engage in transit advocacy, and two hours allocated to open strategizing and discussion on topics of your choosing. 
Workshops topics: 
1. How to recruit people to join the transit movement Bill Worrell, TTCriders, and Susan Kwong, Social Planning Toronto
2. How to build your local group or chapter Jessica Bell, TTCriders and Amara Possian, Centre for Story Board Strategy and Generation Squeeze 3. How to launch a campaign Effie Vlachoyannacos, Maytree Foundation
4. How to communicate with elected officials Gideon Forman, David Suzuki Foundation 5. How to effectively use social media Nirmalan Vijeyakumar, TTCriders
The afternoon is dedicated to open discussion.
