Tyler Kealey’s raw talent as a piano player is matched with his gift as a singer/songwriter in a style that blends his influences of blues, folk, pop and rock all together.His live performance leave audiences in awe of his improvisational skill on the keys along with his sharp story telling and keen melodic inspiration in his songs. Songs like “Baseball Diamond” and “Silver Lining” have been adopted by local communities as anthems that celebrate the human spirit . While his brand of anthemic songs have been successful, he isn’t afraid explore a multitude of subject matters. The songs range from heavily emotional and vulnerable moments, to quirky and comedic observations. He leaves the window of inspiration open hopes of breaking new ground as an artist. With nearly 30 years of experience on stage, Tyler’s talent has taken him across Canada, China and Africa. His years of local performances in Ottawa have gained a reputation that puts him in high demand as a member of Ottawa’s Dueling Pianos and as a solo performer. Recently, Tyler has turned his musical attention back to his talents on the accordion. His new material puts the instrument at the centre of his latest songwriting endeavours and while he still takes a seat at the piano, the moments on accordion offer a fun twist to the the live show.
