An in-person workshop for parents/caregiver of children/youth with autism who are registered in the OAP.
Join us in Chatham for Understanding Challenging Behaviour Part 1! You can choose between a morning or an evening presentation time.
Sometimes children and youth with autism have challenging behaviours and, as a parent, it can be hard to know what to do about it.
Your child's disruptive behaviours may interfere with their daily activities and you may worry that they'll hurt themselves or others. These behaviours can certainly test a parent's patience!
Understanding Challenging Behaviour is an introduction into why people behave the way they do. In this presentation, we will explore ways to understand why your child may struggle and what you can do to help.
NOTE: Understanding Challenging Behaviour PART 2 will be available virtually in May 14 at 10am over Zoom. You can register for Part 2 at https://ucbprt2may14.eventbrite.ca/
Attending Part 1 prior to Part 2 is highly encouraged, but not required.
This workshop is for parents and caregivers of children with ASD. All materials will be provided.
