Join us on this on-line class as we examine the concept of "cognitive knots'

About this Event

What is a "cognitive knot" to the educators inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach?

In this on-line workshop, we will learn about cognitive knots and their role in the process of learning.

We will think about how educators can use these "knots" to expand learning opportunities and how to individualize learning for children.

This class will take place on ZOOM. Participants will be able to see each other and discuss things similar to a live session. We will share videos and stories from our programs at Frog Hollow to share our own experiences with you.

  • certificate of professional development hours will be provided for this workshop
  • the meeting will start at 6 pm - workshop starts 6:15 pm to give participants time to join and set their gadgets
  • a zoom meeting link will be provided to attendees ahead of time - zoom is very easy to use. if you are feeling uncomfortable or unsure but would like to join the workshop, please do contact us and we will provide you with information ahead of time to make sure you are ready for the workshop

About the Presenter:

As the Director of the Reggio-Inspired Learning Centre, Maryam Naddaf works closely with Frog Hollow educators, children and their families in designing curriculum,; she takes part in professional development opportunities for Frog Hollow educators, and facilitates and organizes workshops, tours, consultation services and roundtables for the Early Childhood Education and Early Years communities.
