Do I have to attend both days to receive full certification?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Full certification requires one day of training for theory (Saturday, March 22) and one day for self-protection (Sunday, March 23.)

What if I can't attend both days?

This training is in high demand. If you cannot attend both days, we ask that you let someone else take your place as you will need both days to be fully certified. If you have already registered but can't commit to attending both days, please cancel your ticket, or email safewalkcoord@sagbc.ca .

How much does the training cost?

The training is free for all current full time students of George Brown College.

What if I am not a George Brown College student?

Accepted Answer

This training is offered only to current full time students of George Brown College. If you would like to receive this training, we recommend searching for a trainer near you. You can try the Toronto Hostels Training Centre for opportunities.

Question 5

Will I need to show proof that I am a student at George Brown College?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You will need to provide your GBC email address during registration as a form of proof. If you do not provide it, you will receive a follow-up email asking you to do so. We will cancel any ticket that does not have a GBC email address (ie. yourname@georgebrown.ca )

What if I am a current full time student and I do not have a George Brown College email address?

An email will be sent to you after you register with alternative ways that you can provide proof that you are a current full time student.

Question 7

Will lunch or snacks be provided?

No. Please bring a lunch and snacks. As well, there are restaurants in the area on Davenport St and Dupont St
