About this event

Celebrate the winter season at the gateway to Toronto from November 28th 2022 - January 29th 2023.

Enjoy free skating and free skate rentals on Front Street at Toronto Union Station, Toronto. We are passionate and driven to create moments of joy during the winter season with a fun and truly Canadian activity. Skating is open to the public and for all skill levels. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who will be on the ice with them. One parent/guardian is required for every two children under 12 years of age. Minors under the age of 18 will require a parent/guardian signature on their waivers.

Skate sessions are 45 minutes long and registration is recommended. Please note, online registration must be completed 24hr before your selected skate time. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your skate time.

We always encourage you to register in advance to secure a spot. However, a number of walk-in spots are available for each of our skating slots on a first-come, first-served basis. If registration is unavailable to you at your preferred time, we encourage you to come to the site as a walk-in, or register for the next available slot!

Free Skate Lessons: Tuesdays, 1pm - 2pm

We are pleased to offer free skating lessons by Skate Canada certified coaches! To participate in the skating lessons, you must register in advance via the Eventbrite link. Skating lessons are capped at 16 participants. The rink will still be open for regular skaters not participating in the lessons through walk-ins.

Free skate and helmet rentals are available to our guests! Sizes can be indicated in the registration process. Max sizes are: Women's 10/Men's 12.

To participate in our free skate/helmet rental program, patrons will be required to sign a waiver during registration and will be asked to provide a government issued identification card as a deposit at skate/helmet pickup. Your identification will be returned when the ice skates and/or helmet are returned. Guests are also welcome to bring their own skates.

Helmets are required for skaters under the age of 6. All other guests highly encouraged to wear helmets for their safety. A limited number of helmets are available for free rental.

*Please note that the rink will close at 5pm on December 24th and will be closed on Saturday, December 25 and Sunday, December 26th. We will re-open at 11am on December 28th
