She holds a Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Calgary and is certified as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology and as a Pre- and Postnatal Fitness Specialist with canfitpro. She is also a wife and mom of two young boys and loves a great cup of local coffee.Jen has worked as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and fitness centre manager for organizations including YMCA Calgary, the University of Calgary, ATB Financial and LivNorth. She is now the owner of her own fitness coaching business in Calgary, Alberta - Abbott Coaching - that provides her the opportunity to work with more postpartum people and raise her young family.Supporting women to move their bodies throughout pregnancy and helping them restore their STRENGTH and CONFIDENCE postpartum has transformed her life. It has given her a sense fulfillment, especially as she navigated postpartum depression following the birth of both her children. This led to the development of her signature program The STRONG Motherhood Collective which includes group fitness coaching and genuine connection for people at multiple stages of motherhood.
