SCIC was formed in 1974 by international development and emergency relief agencies active in Saskatchewan.Today our members include international development agencies, the peace-building and humanitarian bodies of major faith groups, educational organizations, solidarity groups, local community organizations, and local individuals committed to SCIC’s mission, vision, and principles.

A Talk with Zein Almoghraby (representing JHR - Journalists for Human Rights) - "International Development & Journalism in War Zones".

University of Regina Education Building

This free noon-hour Global Cafe will feature a conversation with Zein Almoghraby - Director of International Programs and Growth at the non-profit organization Journalists for Human Rights. With a focus on Global South regions such as Syria, Sudan, and Lebanon, Zein’s talk will centre on Journalists for Human Rights' work concerning international media development vs. local journalism, reproducing violence, reporting polarization, and more. Lunch will be provided. Location: Education Building, Room 315 - University of Regina
