Tri-Art Manufacturing is a family-run company founded in Kingston, On., and has been around since 1994. What began as a small paint-making operation in the back of Art Noise, their original store, soon grew into an internationally recognized brand trusted by artists around the world. From day one, their mission has been simple: to create the best possible materials for artistic expression. Tri-Art has always been dedicated to making fine art paints, by artists for artists. Many of Tri-Art’s employees, including the owners themselves, are working artists in the Kingston community.

Your Instructor:

Victoria (Tori) Smyth is a painter and illustrator, who is currently going through a floral phase, with a love for the occasional rocky landscape. After graduating from the University of Guelph’s Studio Arts program, Tori has worked in museums and galleries for the last 2 decades before returning to her art practice officially, and has been creating bold portraits and landscapes, drawing from her love of nostalgia, animals and nature. Since becoming a mother, she has focused on using mediums that are easily accessible and can be dropped quickly to chase children, which has allowed her to think of creating art in new and different ways.

Tori is currently the Education Director for Art Noise in Kingston, On., and works closely with Tri-Art Manufacturing handling a lot of their outreach education. She is thoroughly enamoured with their acrylic paints and acrylic mediums and uses them for Art Noise’s education programming, and in her own personal practice.
