Join us in Chatham to learn how visual supports can help bring structure and predictability to activities at home or in the community.
During this in-person educational opportunity for parents and caregivers (please do not bring your child/youth to the event), you will learn practical visual strategies to support routines, transitions and daily activities.
Parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to learn about the strategies, practice using them, and take visual support materials home.
Strategies will include visual task strips, help/break card, "I am working for" boards, and social narratives. Discussions will also focus on how to set up and teach visual supports in a way that works best for your child and your family.
This workshop is for parents and caregivers of children with ASD.
