Vancouver Rust Hackathon 

Established in Vancouver, Finhaven, a company at the forefront of capital markets innovation, is building an investment banking platform supporting the issuance and investment of digital securities and providing a marketplace to trade them. With its technical platform, Finhaven aims to become an integrated global alliance of exchanges. Finhaven’s proprietary, high-capacity cryptographic ledger enhances the platform’s quality through identity authentication, authorization and security, enabling capital market participants to save significant time and money. Finhaven views the challenges of traditional capital market procedures as opportunities to apply its proprietary accounts-issuance-trading platform, ultimately driving innovation in capital markets.

We are thrilled to present you the first Rust Hackathon. The event is organized by the Vancouver Rust community and hosted by Finhaven! Our goal is to attract and connect Rust enthusiasts and developers in order to expand the Rust community. The event will promote the language with the aim to gain momentum for participants to build MVP’s in 24 hours. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to learn by peer-to-peer mentoring, collaborating and sharing knowledge. 
On October 20th, teams will be made (up to 6 teams of 5) and topics will be selected with enough time to prototype and demo on October 21st at 4:00pm.
