Learn How to Build, Maintain &amp; Operate  an Outdoor, All-Season Worm Composting Bin for Your  Small Farm, Landscaping Business or Your Garden

Utopia Hall

•	Learn how to produce your own high-quality worm castings at your farm or business site 	or your back yard•	Discover the many valuable uses of worm castings, from seedling starter mixes to liquid 	extracts and teas, from improving soil health to sequestering carbon•	Hear about the latest science on the benefits of worm castings, from significantly improved 	productivity to strong disease and pest suppression •	Find out how these benefits can make a huge difference for your soil•	Learn about the Utopia Farmland and our Soil-Health Research Initiative (site of the workshop) The day-long workshop (9:30 am to 4:00 pm) will move back and forth between indoor presentations and outdoor, hands-on construction. We will build a 3’ by 5’ bin suitable for a small farm/business ?or garden. Anyone wishing to build a larger unit will be able to easily scale up by following ?the principles and methods used in the workshop. The workshop will also cover the basics of worm-bin management, harvesting castings, and their application to soil.
