In 1987, Vancouver Film School introduced the world’s first true immersion film program. Today, VFS is Canada’s premier post-secondary entertainment arts institution, offering an immersive curriculum in film, animation, video game production, VR/AR development, motion and interactive design, programming, art/production foundation, and other related programs. About VFS Sound Design for Visual MediaVFS’s Sound Design program creates powerful artists who design unforgettable sound for film, animation, TV, games, and beyond. Over 1 year of hands-on, production-focused training, students are immersed in industry, learning from master instructors and working alongside students from our Game Design, Film Production, and Animation programs, allowing them to experience the full scope of a production pipeline and create a powerful production portfolio. VFS Sound Design alumni are credited on the industry’s biggest projects including Dune: Part Two, Loki, Baldur’s Gate 3, the 2024 remake of Until Dawn, and many more.
