About this event
This two-part 3D digital workshop will explore cinematic filmmaking using virtual architecture as a digital cinematic set through Rhino 3D and Unreal Engine 4.
Session 1:
Participants will learn how to design, model, and create digital architectural spaces using Rhino 3D, a NURBS-based modelling tool used commonly used in architectural/industrial design.
Session 2:
Using the 3D model created during Session 1, participants will visualized the architectural spaces through real-time rendered filmmaking in Unreal Engine 4.
Upon the completion of the workshops, participants will have created a digital 3D model of an architectural environment and a short video walkthrough and representation of the digital space.

About the Facilitator
Benjamin Chang is a 3D artist and architectural designer working with digital media, spatial perception, geometry, and ritual practices as storytelling devices that question our innate ontological dilemmas. Deeply invested in the social and philosophical vision of Cosmopolitanism, his practice aims to dissolve the culturally imposed boundaries embedded in the superstructure of materialism. Perplexed by the representations of reality, he is on a journey to catalog the matrix. Chang holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Design from OCAD University, and is currently practicing architecture in Ontario.
