Vulnerability Open Mic Night

Vulnerability Open Mic Night

165 James St NHamilton, ON
Wednesday, Mar 18 from 7 pm to 9:30 pm
Overview

Join our Vulnerability Open Mic event, where we come together to share and witness one another in authentic expression and community.

This month, our gathering will be themed around rebirth after death and loss. This will be an evening of authentic expression, connection, and community and a space to share whatever feels present or alive in this season of your life. You’re invited to speak to what you may have had to lose, grieve, and let go of in order to move into more aligned versions of yourself.

You might choose to share something that longs to be witnessed in its ending - a chapter that has closed, an identity that no longer fits, a relationship, dream, or season of life that has had to be released. You may choose to express the meaning of loss, grief, uncertainty or surrender as it relates to your unique experience. This could take the form of a story, poem, song, reflection, or simply a few words spoken from the heart. This month we are honouring both the death and the becoming, the ashes and the first embers of something new.

Each person will have the chance to share in whatever way feels natural — as short, long, or creative as you wish. Nothing needs to be polished or perfect. The space is about being real, being seen, and witnessing one another in our fullness.

We will also close the evening with a restorative sound journey, inviting your body and spirit to settle and integrate everything shared.

Please bring a water bottle, yoga mat, or meditation cushion for your comfort as we move through the evening together. Bring your voice, your heart, and your presence.

CONTRIBUTION: This is set as an accessible, sliding-scale offering of $15–25 to help cover space and refreshment costs, guided by what feels most aligned for you.

NOTE: Tickets can also be purchased via etransfer to mothrashadowwork@gmail.com to avoid fees! If the ticket price is out of reach, send us an email and we can discuss ways to make it affordable or offer an energy exchange.
