Join Morris Lum as he leads an introductory course on medium format cameras and how to use them for street photography.

In this one-day workshop participants will be introduced to the various components of working with a medium format camera, from understanding settings, loading film to learning how to optimize your camera to take create unique images. Participants will have the opportunity to work hands on with their cameras in an outdoor street setting, guided by instructor Morris Lum.Participants will need to provide their own medium format camera; film (3-5 rolls) and light meter if you do not have access to a medium format camera, please email lfatemi@gallery44.org as we have some available for use.Instructor Bio: Morris Lum is a Trinidadian born photographer/artist whose work explores the hybrid nature of the Chinese-Canadian community through photography, form and documentary practices. His work also examines the ways in which the Chinese history is represented in the media and archival material. Morris’ work has been exhibited and screened across Canada, the United States.Morris is currently working on a cross North America project that looks specifically at the transformation of the Chinatown.
